Mountain / Full Edition are a collective of musicians, care workers, activists, performers, painters, care workers, former sex workers and grindcore band members based out of Osaka, Japan.
The communities debut album "No Matter Where You Come From, You Are Not a Stranger Here" is taken from a phrase from Primo Levi (the Jewish chemist + writer who survived Auschwitz) adopted by the project as a tool for inclusivity & political action.
Their album builds on these ideas, with ten standalone tracks forged out of deep crypt electronics, distorted chimes, jazz freak-outs, mutated psych, circuit board funk, spoken word and the overaching sounds of the undergrowth and crawling metropolitan decay. Coming out on the label on the 28th June, it's a standalone and unheard snapshot into a fringe community which refuse to take things lying down. Check it out
